I enrolled in evening classes that meet TW 6-9pm from April through June at my favorite place. Here’s a post of the first pose our class is working on. It’s a bit rough, but I’m learning and getting back into the rhythm and flow of drawing.

Sit you down April 10, 2008
Sit you down in my velvet green chair by the marble mantlepiece. Let us speak of incandescant blue butterflies, turretted castles built in trees, and fish that leap to far off shores. We shall peer out gabled windows and watch the muse wander steel gray seas guided by faded cartography. Horses will whinny and rear, we’ll paint the sky with northern lights, and cradle the world in white.

For you (and me) April 3, 2008
Grace in dissolution. I feel it in the gray. Brilliant ray splits black clouds of thundering. Thor throws his hammer and in that rumbling, a faint singing is heard. Bird of hope, white against the sky, bringing leaves of life back to Noah after forty dark days and nights.
